You do. Your brand owns the Golden Record — products, fitments, descriptions, images, supersessions. Linked tenants see your data but can only modify their private overlays (internal SKU, margins, tags). You can delegate co-ownership to certified partners with explicit scope. If you decide to leave HeyLeo, we export your full master data in ACES/PIES + TecDoc format.
What happens when a part isn't in the catalog? Does Leo say «not found»?
No. Leo automatically dispatches a scraping agent that extracts the data from trusted sources — public OEM catalogs, major distributors, manufacturer datasheets. The result arrives in the same visual format as if it came from our DB. Transparency lives in logs and citations — you can always see where the data came from. Scraped data is not persisted as Golden Record without brand-owner verification.
I'm a distributor with sensitive data (prices, margins, customers). Who else sees them?
Only you. Multi-tenant isolation applies at every layer of the stack: JWT verification, tenant guard, repository filter, immutable audit. The brands you link only see that «a tenant linked this product» — never your price list, your customers, or your volumes. On Professional+ you can enable database-per-tenant: a dedicated Neon database for your organization only, encrypted at rest.
Can I integrate HeyLeo with my existing ERP (SAP, QuickBooks, Shopify, custom ERP)?
Yes. Zod-typed REST API documented via OpenAPI/Swagger. Webhooks for critical events (order.created, invoice.paid, stock.adjusted). For deeper integrations we offer an MCP server — Leo can act as an agent inside your own AI flows. Official connectors for QuickBooks and Shopify ship post-Day-1; SAP and custom ERPs via generic API with Implementation Partner.
I run a small workshop. Do I need to sign up to search parts or decode a VIN?
No. Search, VIN decode, cross-references, and quote preview all work without signup and without payment. Signup is only required when you want to send a quote to a customer, manage inventory, or connect your ERP. No limited trial, no credit card required upfront.
How do you handle heavy-duty? American catalogs assume passenger car.
Heavy-duty is HeyLeo's primary focus, not an afterthought. The data model treats the engine as a first-class entity — independent of chassis. This solves HD's central problem: the same engine (X15, D13, MX-13) fits multiple truck brands, and cross-brand equivalences (D13=MP8, MX-13=PACCAR) are explicit. VMRS for fleet classification, axle types with ratios and capacities, transmission as independent entity (Eaton Fuller, Allison, ZF), and emission standards (EPA04 → GHG21) on every engine configuration.
What countries can my tenants operate in and what currencies?
At launch: Mexico, USA, and LATAM. Multi-currency by default — each tenant defines its default currency and can handle transactions in multiple currencies. Multi-country at the fiscal config level (USA sales tax, EU VAT future, Mexico CFDI, Colombia DIAN future, Brazil NF-e future). The fiscal roadmap follows demand — we open jurisdictions when there are active tenants.
How does the Implementation Partner and Stockholder ecosystem work?
Implementation Partners are certified agencies or freelancers who configure tenants for clients — catalog, imports, integrations, automations. Scoped access (no access to client financials, CRM, or business reports). Stockholders are distributors or HD networks who pay a strategic membership for revenue share, premium API, priority ingestion, advisory board, and dedicated database on higher tiers. Self-hosting is never available — HeyLeo operates as controlled SaaS.
